Integrated Technologies Australia gives us a terrific description of the scope of this integration:
“Our customers are an active family of four with two teenage boys who were expanding a property with a focus on comfort, convenience, security, entertainment and efficiency. Family interests include outdoor sporting activities, entertaining with friends, and the wife is a keen gardener.
“A primary design consideration required us to minimize wall control and device clutter while making the home services easy to manage.
“A data sharing network and comprehensive managed Wi-Fi coverage to the entire property was essential. Music and movies from around the world are sent to 15 audio zones and eight TVs, including two 360-degree swiveling 75-inch TVs in the outside pavilion area that are capable of being viewed from the spa, pool, fire pit and outside kitchen.
“A golf simulator using Crestron allows the client to turn on nine separate devices with single touch of a button. The golf room was also designed to facilitate watching movies with surround sound.
The automated scenes in this project are all thoughtful. Here’s just one: As soon as any Blu-ray player is activated, the lights in that room will lower to “pre-movie mode.” When the movie starts playing, the lights will slowly fade out and any light-switch motion sensors in that area are disabled. When the movie pauses, the lights fade up slightly. Once the movie finishes or the activity is switched off, the lights will slowly fade back up.
This project won the top prizes for Best Integrated Home, Level IV, and Best Dressed Racks in the 2019 CEDIA Awards, Asia Pacific.
